WATER POLLUTION

and how it's destroying our oceans

Water equates all life forms, without it, there would be no life on earth. It covers 70% of the Earth’s surface. British poet W. H. Auden once noted, “Thousands have lived without love, not one without water.” Water is vital for human survival which leads the humans to flourishing a clean and drinkable water since the beginning of time It is responsible for the various human, animal and plant activities in the planet such as agriculture, photosynthesis that yields oxygen for the people, and even in the everyday routine of each individual and animals, it involves the drinking of water. Water pollution highly contaminates a person’s body. Bodies immediately react to drinking untreated waters nowadays.

Diseases that humans get from a polluted water are typhoid, cholera, paratyphoid fever, dysentery, jaundice, amoebiasis and malaria in which these diseases could lead to an individual’s demise. According to Denchak (2018), presently, drinkable water sources are finite: fresh water that are accessible to humans drop to less than 1 percent. Without an immediate action in regards with the water pollution issue in our world, challenges related to this issue would rise in the year 2050, when global demand for freshwater is expected to be one-third greater than it is now.

Sources of fresh water around the world are threatened by water pollution, not only do humans manage the resources poorly, but we also contribute to sullying it. Majority of the byproducts of our civilization contributes to water pollution, some of which include oil spills, human littering, discharge of chemicals from factories and dumping of untreated sewage from households and factories into the different bodies of water.

Water pollution is an evident threat to humans and animals, in this case we should do our part in avoiding this issue to worsen and help in reviving the bodies of water in our planet. Actions that every individual must implement in order to help lessen water pollution happening includes not littering in the ocean and disposing chemicals and paint in water supplies and drains and most importantly spread awareness by education humans on the effect of water pollution to humans, animals and to our planet.

What Can We Do ?

Beach Cleanups

Having Mandatory "Beach Cleanups" to slowly make our oceans clean and blue again .

Raising Awareness

We can raise awareness by using social media platforms to use our voices for the betterment of our oceans.

Building A Community

By having the same mission to care for the oceans and to save the life above and underneath the sea.

ABOUT OUR PAGE

Welcome to our page where we are an advocate of water pollution, to spread awareness and to prevent the increase of water pollution that greatly affects the environment, Human Health, and Marine Life. We seek to lessen the increase in pollution in the bodies of water.

"I said that the oceans were sick but they're not going to die. There is no death possible in the oceans — there will always be life — but they're getting sicker every year."
